"When one prays, don't just stand.  Understand."

Join us for a 3-week Series on The Language of Revelation led by Ustadh Saif Omar

One of the most fundamental and eternal tenants of Islam is the Quran.  We recite it everyday, use it to source fundamental laws, and learn from the stories of righteous people.

However, many of us both the modern word has many temptations that seem to capture our focus instead.  While most of us do not explicitly worship these distraction, there are many times when we choose to prioritize them instead of God.  And other times, when faced with the choice of obeying God or obeying worldly temptations, we make the latter choice.

Be it materialism, money, desires, or our own egos, how can we reign in and control our lesser, worldly impulses?  Is there a healthy amount of worldly pleasure we should incorporate into our lives?  And how can we reprioritize the remembrance of God in our lives and in our hearts?
