Farm to Cup: Jamaican Coffee with a Purpose

  • 46903 Sugarland Rd Sterling, VA 20164 USA (map)

Join us at Qahwa as we welcome 876Muslims and 876Java Collective, a Jamaica-based social enterprise dedicated to sharing authentic Jamaica Blue Mountain Specialty Coffee and supporting meaningful community development initiatives across Jamaica.

Enjoy a demonstration and guided tasting of one of the world’s most sought-after coffees and learn about the people, farms, and communities behind every cup. Guests will hear firsthand stories from Jamaica and gain insight into ongoing efforts to support vulnerable communities through sustainable development, youth programs, orphan care, farmer assistance, fisherman support, and dawah initiatives.

During the event, we will share updates on current projects taking place across the island and screen exclusive footage from Golden Balance’s visit to Jamaica, including his experience at the very coffee farm where 876Java sources its beans. Attendees will gain a deeper understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing Jamaican communities and learn how they can support ongoing efforts benefiting farmers, fishing communities, children, and families in need.

Guests will also have the opportunity to taste authentic Jamaica Blue Mountain Coffee, purchase 876Java products, and learn how specialty coffee can help create sustainable opportunities for local communities.

This event is open to attendees ages 18+. Pre-registration is requested. Donations are appreciated and help support future Qahwa educational and community events.

Come experience the taste of Jamaica, connect with the story behind the coffee, and discover how every cup can help create lasting impact.
