The Grounding: Living Beyond Trauma

  • 46903 Sugarland Rd Sterling, VA 20164 USA (map)

Join us for this 2-week series on Living Beyond Trauma.

Our early childhood experiences form the building blocks which forever impact our outlooks in life.  But when these experiences are negative, they can be debilitating.  Physical, emotions, mental, and even spiritual traumas from years past still find their way into affecting us in the present and future.

But instead of being broken and shackled by our past traumas, how can we overcome them and emerge as stronger people?  How can we learn from own experiences and actively prevent the cycle of trauma in others?  And above all how does our faith, relationship, and reliance on Allah serve as the gateway to persevering, overcoming, and healing?

Comprised of an engaging lecture with a strong focus on Hurunnessa Fariad's personal story, tribulations, and successes followed by meaningful discussions, this series will explore how the past forms us and the responsibility we have in learning from it to build a better future for ourselves and those we care .

Doors for the event open at 6:45 for coffee and connection, event starts at 7:00.

One ticket covers all 2 weeks.  Donations are greatly appricated and help us fund future events!

Open to young professionals ages 21+, we look forward to seeing you there!
