About Juwayriah
Juwayriah is a writer and poet whose work explores themes of identity, faith, depression, longing, love, and the messy complexities of the human experience. Her poetry has been published by the Maryland Writers’ Association. Beyond writing, Juwayriah’s artistry spans acting, film, and devised theatre. She is drawn to art’s ability to hold a mirror up to society, allowing us to confront ourselves, both individually and collectively. She is also the creator and host of Part-Time Hijabi, a podcast available on Spotify and Apple Podcasts.
