Join us for this special session of Grounding on Islamophobia and America.
Muslims are increasingly taking the center stage in global sports, visible political offices, and prominent media franchises.
Led by Mohamed Gula, we will unpack how America views Islam and Muslims and explore the impact these presentations in media narratives have on our treatment and perception in society.
We will reflect on our own attitudes, reactions, and sense of belonging in how we navigate our identity, faith, and citizenship in these modern circumstances. Finally, we will identify how we can move forward, looking at challenges, opportunities, and practical steps to actively stay grounded, informed, and empowered to shape our future.
Featuring a talk and discussions, the event begins promptly at 7:30 and takes place in Qawha Cafe.
The latest session in our weekly series for young working professionals on contemporary issues through spiritual lens, free registration is options but highly encouraged. Donations are greatly appreciated to help support future events and we look forward to seeing you there!
