The Grounding: Friendship Throughout the Seasons

  • 46903 Sugarland Rd Sterling, VA 20164 USA (map)

Join us on for a special session of the Grounding on Friendship Throughout the Seasons.

Led by Ust. Madeha Baqai, we will explore one of the most prominent and important types of relationships: Friendship.

If handled properly, friendships can provide us with security and foundations that enrich our lives and our religion.  Conversely, a misplaced or mismanaged friendship can tear us down, betray us, or even take you away from God.

So what is the true meaning of friendship?  How should it elevate us and what can we do to ensure that it does?  How do we avoid the pitfalls of mismanaged friendships, both by choosing good friends and being the best friend we can be to others?  How can friendships change over time?  And above all what role does a good friendship have in bring us close to God?

Featuring a talk and discussions, the event begins promptly at 8:30 after Isha prayer prayer and takes place in Qawha Cafe.

The latest session in our weekly series for young working professionals on contemporary issues through spiritual lens, it is highly encouraged to buy a ticket if able as always, donations are greatly appreciated to help fund future events!  We look forward to seeing you there!
