Join Imam Farhan Siddiqi and Ust. Saad Omar in their monthly series on Islamic Solution to Societal Ills at the HAWA Center!
Death is an inevitability that no one can deny. Even those who are not Muslim do not dispute its oncoming arrival. But even though we all know that death is approaching, few of us live our lives according to this reality.
We procrastinate and are heedless in our time, always assuming we have more. Instead of focusing on our future, we have become obsessed with clinging to the past as much as possible. We try to extend and reclaim our youth, so we can feel young, look young, and pretend to be young.
With so many courting an illusion of immortality, how should we as Muslims live knowing that our deaths are imminent? How can we avoid the materialistic trapping of this world that distract us from our inevitable end? And what can we do ensure that we spent the time of our youth well, so that we look back on it with pride and achievement instead of regret and lost potential?
Open to men and women, come by for a discussion based talk followed by socialization, snacks and drinks provided by Serene Coffee!
While tickets are complimentary, donations are greatly appreciated to support future events for both Dar Al-Hijrah and the Adams Center!
