Join us for this 3-week series with Omar Nassimi (Qahwa Cafe's original and first Programs Coordinator) as we explore the keys to Building Community!

Whether it's mismanagement, ill intentions, being out of touch, or any other reason, many of us have had experiences with poorly-run communities.  Yet little is known about how to properly build community the RIGHT way.

But what is the right way to build a community?  We will examine just that by looking at the research, data, and best practices to discover how anyone (including you!) can build or rebuild an impactful community by using the proper strategies!

About Omar Nassimi 

Omar Nassimi completed his undergraduate degree in English at George Mason University and went on to work at Islamic Relief USA as a Community Engagement Specialist and later at MakeSpace as a Program Manager.  In 2022, Omar took over as the Program Manager for Qahwa, successfully pioneering efforts to bring diverse, relevant, and unique programming targeting an audience of Muslim youth and young adults.

Omar is passionate about community organizing, events, and user experiences within organizations.  He is currently working at Oasis Hill, creating a community hub for the next generation of values-based leaders.
