Led by Ustadha Kouthar Muttardy and Bayan Hammad, join us as we use global phenomenon KPOP DEMON HUNTERS to discuss the deceptive and destructive power shame and celebrity, how they can be used to lead us astray, and how there is always a way back even after we've made so many mistakes.
Comprised of a talk followed by discussion questions, we will explore how evil operates by praying on our insecurities and how you can only escape this trap by turning towards God. We will also explore how easily music and entertainment can be used as a tool to sway us towards evil, and, perhaps, how they can instead be used to push us towards good. Above all, we will explore the all encompassing mercy of God and how it's it's never too late to turn back to him while there is still breath in our bodies.
This event is open to youth and adults ages 13+. All are welcome whether you are a fan, a parent, or are simply interested in the topic. Familiarity with KPOP Demon Hunters is is recommended but not necessary as this talk will contain heavy spoilers for the film.
